Our goal is to expand our knowledge of growing and showing African Violets and

Gesneriad-Dicts of Western New York
Our goal is to learn more about this wonderful plant family, and to bring more
knowledge and awareness of these plants to others.
Common gesneriads grown by hobbyists are the Gloxinia,
African Violet, and the Lipstick Plant.
We are now an affiliate of the American Gloxinia and Gesneriad Society,
and the Gesneriad Society International.
Meetings the third Sunday of every month at 2pm. Meeting locations rotate.

Western NY Rose Society
The WNYRS is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to helping
people enjoy and grow roses. For example, we promote good horticultural
practices and rose selections for our WNY area. Our activities include
monthly meetings, annual rose show, visits to public gardens, educational
events and workshops. As an affiliate of the American Rose Society, we have
access to their resources as well as the cumulative centuries of rose
growing expertise of our local members.
